<\/span><\/div>\n
A word or a few in praise of Rituals, of which we know can heal<\/span><\/div>\n
Walking and running, meditation and yoga all help us cope and deal<\/span><\/div>\n
In wake of Irene the streets today were filled people rambling<\/span><\/div>\n
For flashlights -water -cans of tuna in stores they all were scrambling<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
The rain began and I felt a disappointment that I might night be able to run<\/span><\/div>\n
The clouds were thickening, umbrellas opening and the storm had hastily begun<\/span><\/div>\n
I took a chance and went outside and the rain began to cease<\/span><\/div>\n
My music on and water belt in place my breath let out a sigh of release!<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
An hour before I\u2019d heard from someone that a guy I love had another<\/span><\/div>\n
I had no claims but my heart sank just the same and I wanted to run for cover<\/span><\/div>\n
In a moment running I decided to advance, and not give in to \u201cthe mind of madness\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
But to see this as an opening for my own new love to come\u2014and not for sadness<\/span><\/div>\n

<\/span><\/div>\n
In that same moment running when music, movement and endorphins all unite<\/span><\/div>\n
I decided on a victory for my friend, for me, for them, for us, for all to be alright<\/span><\/div>\n
No spite, no walls, no gloomy falls I\u2019m expertly navigating an unpredictable stream<\/span><\/div>\n
I choose hope! I choose love in its many forms!  To live true to myself and all my dreams  <\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
