{"id":142,"date":"2011-04-24T11:47:00","date_gmt":"2011-04-24T11:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lidaprypchan.org\/?p=142"},"modified":"2015-07-20T00:38:50","modified_gmt":"2015-07-20T00:38:50","slug":"are-there-only-happy-moments-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lidaprypchan.org\/?p=142","title":{"rendered":"ARE THERE ONLY HAPPY MOMENTS?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-sOAShxmZa8o\/UhZcn_iGTqI\/AAAAAAAARxg\/mAKAl0lm3Mw\/s1600\/Happiness1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-sOAShxmZa8o\/UhZcn_iGTqI\/AAAAAAAARxg\/mAKAl0lm3Mw\/s1600\/Happiness1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"434\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">By Lida Prypchan<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">An article about depression appeared in a fashion magazine at the end of which the author talked about \u201chow to be happy again.\u201d \u00a0In order to regain one\u2019s happiness, besides sticking to a good diet and avoiding the use of stimulants, he recommended \u201ca short, brisk walk, or swimming fifty meters in a pool to improve your appreciation of life.\u201d \u00a0How can the issue of happiness \u2013 something considered by philosophers to be non-existent \u2013 be resolved in a magazine just by a little fifty meter swim: \u00a0Isn\u2019t this a rather superficial view?<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">As Benavente said, \u201cThere is no such thing as happiness in life\u2026only happy moments.\u201dSearching for something that is non-existent, such as happiness, is just as absurd as wanting to find a country where all the inhabitants are content with the political regime. \u00a0It\u2019s just as utopian to think that we will never be sad, as it is to feel, after an unfortunate experience, that we\u2019ll never be happy again. \u00a0Reasons for feeling either sad or happy vary in each individual according to his likes and dislikes, his outlook on life, his age, his problems and his needs. \u00a0For an Oriental, a happy moment can be something that a Westerner wouldn\u2019t even conceive of, and vice versa.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: large;\">In spite of the fact that there\u2019s no such thing as happiness, happy persons do exist. \u00a0All that\u2019s needed to be one of them is not to analyze anything. \u00a0It\u2019s precisely those people whose brains are not acquainted with the word \u201canalysis\u201d that are the happy people. \u00a0This can be better explained with a quote about happiness:\u201d The only happy people are idiots, those who have no problems and those who do have problems but aren\u2019t aware of them.\u201d \u00a0And the world is so full of these people!
